As a rule of thumb allow 1 or 2 nails every half meter of the perimeter and along the seam work.
Eg; An area that is 3 wide x 10m long with a 3 meter join in the middle is 3 x 3 = 9 + 10 x 2 = 20 x 2 = 40 nails. Grab a pack of 50 the extra will come in handy to re-enforce some areas.
If you have a digging dog, use extra nails along the seams and corners! just in case.
